- Third Parties

- User
- The individual who registers for and uses the My Buddy Is Safe service to set up daily safety check-ins. The User is the person whose safety is being monitored and is distinct from their Buddies, who are the contacts designated to receive notifications.

- Ability to designate emergency contacts (Buddies) who will be notified if you miss check-ins

- Secure storage of your contact and check-in information
What the Service Does NOT Guarantee:
- Emergency Response: My Buddy Is Safe is NOT an emergency response service, medical alert system, or substitute for 911. We do not dispatch emergency services or provide immediate assistance.
- Message Delivery: While we make every effort to deliver notifications promptly, we cannot guarantee delivery of SMS/MMS messages or emails due to factors beyond our control, including carrier delays, network outages, spam filters, or device issues.
- Buddy Response: We cannot guarantee that your designated Buddies will respond to or act upon notifications. It is your responsibility to ensure your Buddies understand their role and are willing to check on your well-being.
- Continuous Availability: While we strive for high uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
- Prevention of Harm: The service is a monitoring tool only and does not prevent accidents, medical emergencies, or other harmful events from occurring.
- Accuracy: We cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information transmitted through the service, including timestamps or notification content, although we make reasonable efforts to ensure data integrity.
User Acknowledgment:
By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- My Buddy Is Safe is a supplementary safety tool and should not be relied upon as your sole means of emergency communication
- You remain responsible for your own safety and well-being
- In case of emergency, you should always contact emergency services (911) directly
- The service operates on a "best effort" basis and Signature Software Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any harm, injury, or damages resulting from service failures, delays, or limitations
2.2 License to Use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Service, Signature Software Solutions LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the My Buddy Is Safe service for your personal, non-commercial use.

Prohibited Uses and Actions:
You agree NOT to:
- Harass or Abuse Others: Use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, or send unwanted communications to others

- Designate Unwilling Buddies: Add individuals as Buddies without their knowledge or consent
- Interfere with Service: Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to the service
- Transmit Harmful Code: Upload, post, or transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Unauthorized Access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts, systems, or networks
- Abuse the System: Send excessive check-in notifications, spam Buddies, or otherwise abuse the notification system
- Violate Privacy: Collect or harvest personal information about other users without their consent
- Resell or Transfer: Resell, sublicense, or transfer your account or access to the service to another party
- Create Multiple Accounts: Create multiple accounts to circumvent service limitations or for fraudulent purposes
- Commercial Use: Use the service for commercial purposes, including operating a competing service, without authorization
- Illegal Activities: Use the service for any illegal purpose or to facilitate any illegal activity
- Violate Rights: Infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of Signature Software Solutions LLC or any third party
Consequences of Violations:
Violation of these terms may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of your account
- Removal of your access to the service
- Legal action, including civil or criminal prosecution
- Liability for any damages caused by your violations

2.5 SMS/MMS Text Messaging Terms
My Buddy Is Safe offers SMS/MMS text messaging services to provide daily check-in reminders, safety alerts, and notifications to users and their designated buddies. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in during registration, you consent to receive automated text messages from My Buddy Is Safe.
2.5.1 What You're Agreeing To
When you opt in to our SMS/MMS service, you agree to receive:
- Daily check-in reminders at your scheduled time
- Notifications when a designated buddy misses their check-in
- Safety alerts and welfare check notifications
- Account-related messages and service updates
Important: You will NOT receive marketing or promotional messages. Our text messages are strictly for safety check-ins and service-related notifications only.
2.5.2 Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account settings and check-in schedule. You may receive up to 1-2 messages per day for check-in reminders, plus additional messages if you or your buddies miss check-ins. Message frequency may increase during welfare check situations or service updates.
2.5.3 Cost and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. My Buddy Is Safe does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may charge you for receiving SMS/MMS messages based on your specific plan. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.
2.5.4 Supported Carriers
Our SMS/MMS service is available through major U.S. mobile carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most other carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
2.5.5 How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by:
